Anamaria Marinca bio
Anamaria is a Romanian actress. Her first screen appearance was in Sex Traffic, a Channel 4 film for which she received the British Academy Television Award as the most outstanding actress. She is fluent in French, German English, as well as Romanian. Her mother played the violin and her father is a theater instructor in one of Romania's top theatre schools. Winner of the Best Female Actor of the Year in 2000 Award at The Young Actor Gala Mangalia. She was named European Shooting Star by the European Film Promotion Board in the year 2008. She also won numerous awards for her performance in the film 4 Months 3 Weeks 2 Days, a Romanian film that was recognized by the London Film Critics as the greatest movie of 2007. The actress acted as an actress from Romania in Romanian actor in Cristian Mungiu's documentary 4 luni3 Two days, 4 months (four months, three weeks and two three weeks and two days) which was awarded The Palme d'Or and other prizes at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival. She also appeared in the film by Francis Ford Coppola Youth Without Youth. She appeared as Yasim Awar in the BBC's 5 episode The Last Enemy miniseries. Marinca made an appearance in the Romanian drama Boogie and in Oliver Hirschbiegel's critically acclaimed Five Minutes of Heaven. In the movie Fury (2014) the actress appeared as Irma the German woman, who was Emma's aunt.
