Linda Edna Cardellini was born in Redwood City, California, to Lorraine (Hernan) and Wayne David Cardellini, a businessman. She is of Italian (from her maternal great-grandfather), Irish (from her mother), German, English and Scottish descent. Linda was raised in San Francisco Bay and grew to become the smallest of four children. When she was 10, she became interested in the acting world when she performed during a Christmas production at school. She did school and community productions. Linda was a student at Saint Francis High School in Mountain View, California. She had to choose from New York for theater and Los Angeles for film and television after she graduated. The choice was LA. Linda was as a character in Bone Chillers (1996), her debut role. In 1999, she was offered her first major role as Lindsay Weir on the show Freaks and Geeks. This show earned the actress an Emmy Award for Outstanding Casting for a Comedy Series. She played Lindsay Weir, a decathlete who was enrolled at the California University.

Lily James was born Lily Chloe Ninette Thomson (5 April 1989). Lily James is an English actor. Her career began in 2010, with the British television show Just William, in which she attended London's Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Cinderella was her breakout performance following her appearance as Lady Rose MacClare, in Downton Abbey's period drama (2012-2015). James was then cast as the Countess Natasha Rostova on the TV adaptation of War & Peace in 2016. James has appeared in numerous films such as Baby Driver (2017) and period dramas Darkest Hour (2017) and The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society 2018, and The Dig 2021, as and musicals Mamma Mia! We Go Again (2018) and Yesterday 2019 We Go again (2018) and Yesterday and Yesterday in 2019. Her performance as Pamela Anderson in the biographical series Pam & Tommy (2022) received nominations for the Golden Globe and a Primetime Emmy Award.
