Tommy Lee-1-819x1024Thomas Lee Bass, a Greek-American musician who was the founding member of Motley Crue's heavy metal band, is an American-Greek-American musician. As well as being the group's drummer for a long time, Lee formed the rap metal group Methods of Mayhem and has been involved in solo projects. Lee supports PETA as well as animal rights. Lee wrote Terry Prather in protest of Tilikum's treatment of the animal in 2010. Lee believed that the orca should be freed and claimed that SeaWorld will not comply because Tilikum is their primary donor of sperm. Lee admitted that he was shocked at SeaWorld's complicated and ill-conceived methods to obtain Tilikum sperm. Lee stated that he was hoping to avoid further tragedies of trainers getting killed, because the causes of these deaths were the whales' fear of being held in captivity.
